3PS Founder Ben Beakes Named to West Virginia Executive Magazine’s Sharp Shooters Class of 2026

3PS is proud to congratulate our Founder, President, and Managing Member, Ben Beakes, on being named to West Virginia Executive Magazine’s Sharp Shooters Class of 2026.

Each year, West Virginia Executive recognizes leaders who are making a lasting impact across the Mountain State through vision, service, innovation and dedication. The 2026 Sharp Shooters Class includes 10 outstanding leaders from across West Virginia who are helping shape the state’s future, and we are honored to see Ben recognized among them.

For those of us who work alongside Ben every day, this recognition is no surprise. His leadership has helped shape 3PS into a trusted government affairs and public relations firm rooted in service, strategy and a deep commitment to West Virginia. Since launching 3PS in 2015, Ben has led the company’s growth from a one-person operation with one client into a firm serving more than 60 clients across a wide range of industries.

That growth has been guided by a simple but powerful mission: to put clients in the best possible position to succeed while being a light to the people we serve each day. Today, 3PS provides government affairs and lobbying services, association management, public relations and communications, and creative services.

Ben’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, teamwork, and service. A 2002 graduate of the University of Charleston, he has served in roles including political director for the West Virginia Republican Party, chief of staff for former Secretary of State Betty Ireland, vice president of development at the University of Charleston and director of government and external affairs for Alpha Metallurgical Resources before founding 3PS.

In the West Virginia Executive feature, Ben credits many mentors and experiences with shaping his approach to leadership, including the lesson that being part of a team is bigger than any one individual. That principle is evident in the culture he has built at 3PS: one centered on collaboration, excellence, family and service.

Ben’s impact extends beyond the walls of 3PS. He serves on the University of Charleston Board of Trustees, the board of River Ridge Teays Valley and the Cross Lanes Christian School Parent Advisory Council. He has also supported organizations including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Compassion International.

This recognition also comes during an exciting chapter for 3PS. In 2025, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary and, in partnership with Hager Consulting, purchased Vandalia Digital, a Putnam County-based digital marketing firm. That next step reflects the same entrepreneurial spirit and forward-looking vision that have defined Ben’s leadership from the beginning.

As Ben shared with West Virginia Executive, “Our grass is pretty green right here. All who live here have a collective desire to make this state shine even brighter for future generations. I get to be a small part of that effort.”

At 3PS, we see that commitment in action every day. Ben’s strategic thinking, steady leadership and heart for service continue to strengthen our team, support our clients and contribute to communities across West Virginia.

Please join us in congratulating Ben Beakes on this well-deserved recognition and in celebrating all members of West Virginia Executive Magazine’s Sharp Shooters Class of 2026.
